That is - the pads on the sides for cushioning your grip, not the ones underneath for sliding across your desk.

I have the Steelseries Rival 650 - which I found out after owning for a while is notorious for the sticky stuff which holds these pads in place failing. And it has happened to too large a degree to put up with on a couple of the pads.

So I have removed and cleaned them up. But what am I best sticking them back on again with?

I've ordered some Gorilla gel superglue. But if anyone has suggestions for what would be a better choice, I would be grateful to hear it.

For that matter - and suggestions for getting the surfaces really clean so the glue will work better would also be good. They're still a bit tacky in places after using nail polish remover.

I wouldnt use superglue tbh, use something that can flex. theres a type of epoxy that is used for jewelerry but cant remember what its called.... p4000 or something?

This is what I did when one of the side pads came off my razor mouse, they told me to cut the cord then sent out a replacement which was a newer model.
wow... seems a bit extreme... why in the world would they say that? :D

Well I asked it they could just send replacement pads as the original had stretched but they told me I could either send the mouse off to them or cut the cord and take a picture and they would just send a replacement so I did that as I thought The replacement would come quicker.

I still have the old mouse and can fix it if I buy a cord and pads from China for a few quid.

what an absolutely binkers thing to do... cut the cord on a perfectly fine mouse?? Why? lol... Just can't see a single reason. Not one... Zilch... Nada... Niente... lol

I would have just photoshopped a snapped cord lol
