Hi all,

I have the chance to get my hands on a MSI GTX 1660 Gaming X 6GB. I don't plan on playing any high FPS games, only the basic MMORPGs. Would you say this GPU is decent for a budget build? Currently running a Ryzen 5 3600.

Thanks in advance.

It's decent but if you can i would stretch abit more and try and get hold of a 1660ti or super variant. Will fair abit better in the long run.

Yes very decent for a budget build well done if you got it for a good price.

think we was lucky to get anything.

It will get you over 60fps in games like WOW. Wow has recently added ray tracing but all the gpu capable of doing ray tracing are IMO over priced at the moment. Both Nvidia and AMD will be releasing cheaper GPU that are capable of ray tracing but as to date there is no indication of release date or price.

I think the answer depends on how much you are paying for it. If it were me I'd look to get a 6GB 1060 it's probably within 10% of the 1660 and quite a bit cheaper although all GPUs are overpriced right now.
