Nvidia Re-Size Bar/SAM support is live for some cards, more in March - 10% performance gains

It can save to usb yeah, I will try that, but I did read people were unable to load from usb with bios claiming its incompatible, so will still take photos of each page to be safe.

Did the driver update, restarted, then did the firmware update, restarted again. Already on the BIOS that enables resizable BAR so didn't need to update that.

I'm guessing this means it worked?

I'm on a Zen 2 CPU so was expecting it to still say no.

Updated my MSI 3080 Gaming X card bios, shows resizable bar enabled in the nvidia control panel sys information panel.

Mobo bios updated a while back.

Weird, mine is still saying "no" next to resizable BAR

I'm running latest BIOS (33i using 1.2.0.1A) on a 5800X and X570 Aorus Master, with 3090FE. I've enabled both above 4G encoding and Resizable BAR in BIOS (only option for the latter is Auto or disabled, so I chose Auto), I've run the VBIOS update and the installer confirms that the card is already updated if I try to run it again, I'm on the latest 465.89 driver and I've rebooted several times....

Any ideas?

MSI Adds Resizable-BAR Support To Its Entire Intel 300-Series Motherboard Lineup Including Z390, H370, B360, H310 – Z370 BIOS Coming Soon!

Back in January 2021 I was disappointed there was no mentioned of Resizable-BAR support for Z370 but until today I found out the news that it will coming to Z370 owners soon probably just in time for VBIOS update for all RTX 3000 series graphics cards.
MSI have indeed released a BIOS for my board, but 9th gen chipsets/CPUs are not mentioned on Nvidia's article. I wonder if it will work...

You've run the VBIOS updater for the GPU? Try disabling CSM, however if your drive is formatted to use MBR partitioning instead of GPT it will render the system unbootable.

Cheers, I had arrived at that conclusion too after a post from a user on tweaktown guess what my drive is formatted as

if I disable above 4G and resizable bar I have CSM disabled and it works fine. With them enabled though the only way to boot is with CSM enabled.

balls. I’m going to have a fun time reinstalling windows aren’t I.
