What screen protector do you use with your S21, I had a glass one but it would not work with the in-display fingerprint scanner so I've removed it, I've been using the factory-installed one but I tend to drop my phone now and then luck I have a good protective case. I'm just worried the factory screen protection may not very good in the long run so im wondering if I should add another TPU film protector or glass one but I still want to be able to use the in-display fingerprint scanner

any advice

You'll never get the finger print scanner to work without taking the factory fit one off first.
OK is it working perfectly for you without it and are you using a glass protector?
when I put a glass protector on it worked but it would take more pressure and and a few atempts.

I've contacted a few suppliers today and the few who replied said it won't work. but the TPU screen protector suppliers said it will work.

You what now . Why would you put glass over plastic.:D

The screen is flat, it should be easy to get a decent glass screen protector on there.
I was not aware of what to do, this is the first factory screen protector.
it's easy to fit but I want the fingerprint scanner to work without buying a number of protectors to test

Plenty of reviews on amazon

I didn't expect it to be so hassle free - as long as you read the instructions on the amazon page you're safe. All I had to do is make sure I removed all of the screen protectors that came with the phone, install the tempered glass, enable touch sensitivity and re register my fingerprints. The only thing I want to mention is when you register your fingerprints after installing it do not press too hard on your screen - otherwise when you will be trying to unlock your screen the phone will require the same pressure you've applied when registering

You just have to bite the bullet and give it a go.

I wouldn't bother with a glass screen protector unless you're going to get the whitestone dome. you will either have to get one with a hole in the protector where the fingerprint sensor is or ones that claim they work but do not. Stick with the film-type ones.

And btw before you apply a new screen protector you are supposed to take of your fingerprints in the security settings then re-add them once you have applied it. oh and some you have to change the sensitivity of the screen also.
