Hi all

I'm building a new system using the BeQuiet Sfx-l 500w PSU and have come across such an odd issue... I have a 24 pin plug which splits into a 20+4 pin connection, there is nowhere on the PSU for the 24 pin to go

Any help appreciated

Cheers

The PSU end should be a 20 pin and an 8 pin. 20+4 is the motherboard end. Are you sure there's nowhere to plug it in? could you take a photo?

The labelling under the psu sockets are in two rows, the top row corresponds to the top row of the sockets and the bottom one the bottom sockets. With the psu sitting fan down the two left hand sockets are your pci-e sockets, the big top one and the right hand bottom 8 pin are your mother board, the bottom middle 8 pin is your EPS/CPU power.

Is it OK to plug in the 20 pin to power the 24 pin power on the board, this is the part that's very confusing for me as its split one end into a 20+8

You need to connect all wires of the cable to PSU.
That 8 pin part isn't some voluntary extra.

It's literally labeled below the connectors. Are you sure you've plugged in the both parts of the 24 pin cable at both ends?

Right got an update after a little step back from it...

I've now got power but the CPU stays lit, all fans spinning up and AIO fan spinning, just this light now
