Wrong. Gamers arent the ones currently buying the cards at these inflated prices, but miners. They’d increase the prices and then what? Gamers arent buying them even at this price and you think they’d raise them even more? To do what? Go bankrupt?
All 3xxx series GPUs have reached 3x MSRP here in Romania and they still fly off the shelves bought by miners.

And if they can build GPUs with whatever technology they procure then that is a good thing in my book. I imagine the way to set about it is to hire someone or many people from AMD, Nvidia, (Intel -Raja
) and tell them to make a new GPU. That's how capitalism works. I want 3090 performance at £200-300 and if China can make that happen I'm all in.

I'm quite sure that is going on but industrial espionage certainly isn't a new thing or something only the Chinese indulge in. Stealing secrets has being going on for millennia, the Chinese were themselves victims of the theft of the secret of silk production over a thousand years ago. I don't think the West's conquest of much of the planet would have been possible without the use of the Chinese invention of gunpowder. That's how the World works, get used to it. Additional players in the GPU market from whichever source will be a good thing much like competition in the phone market ended Nokia and Ericsson's early near duopoly and then Samsung and later Huawei shook up Apple's dominance. Consumers benefit from such competition especially if it comes from different countries rather than just the US or Finland or whoever.

So is the PCI card cooled by independent case fans in a front to rear air flow like a server and the Mac Pro ?

Unfortunately China will never get rid of the stigma that they produce cheap replicated crap, they did it with phones and god knows what else. It's gotten better over the years but damn i remember buying a fake iphone, looked and felt like an iphone but ran on android OS and was slow and crap... Good on them if they're actually inventing something from scratch but we'll see about this one.

That's because this mock-up is of a server part.
Of course, servers don't care about noise (1U (44.45mm) units tend to use 40mm fans running/screaming at 10,000 RPM).
Whereas for consumer PCs, users are very reluctant to even consider blowers.
Maybe in the future ATX will be properly replace (CTX as BTX didn't work too well) but it would reduce versatility.
Front case fan with a baffle could work quite well especially if they are 140mm or even 200mm.
As for China and IP theft: well they are a very big country so they do things big. But two points:
1.) Huawei spend billions developing 4G and was rewarded with sanctions.

The spat with Huawei has to be seen in that context and that Cisoc/Juniper/Nokia/Ericson have build-in backdoors for three-letter agencies for years.
Hence those three-letter agencies not trusting Huawei: poachers are always good at playing gamekeepers.
I buy my bike lights off Amazon that are cheap chinese rip offs, they run as good as the original and cost over 70% less.
Same ive bought some decent stuff from there and other china markets in the past few years and they've been decent but i've also had a lot of cheap nasty knock offs with next to zero support or a decent returns policy lol.
It's a gamble when you buy this stuff. There's obvious places to avoid like Wish.... guaranteed fake/junk!
