How about sending an email to everyone in a queue with a web form link containing a few options?
No extra discussion required and depending on response they can be processed in batches.
E.g.
a) cancel
b) pay uplift of £X
c) change to a different model entirely at new £RRP+++++ (Intel stylee) - maybe that's a multi choice option on it's own
d) go nuts and upgrade to a 3090 (lottery winner option) :cool::D

B is tough because you’d still have to go to the back of any of dusting queue.
C is similar as B.
D you’d still have a lot of unsatisfied customers.
 
Whaaaattt... I just went from queue position ~28 to position 1 on Zotac 3080 Trinity OC... Is that an error or just my luck?? :rolleyes:

Edit: oh god, ha, I was position 26 and 25 of the Zotac orders got upgraded! Noooooo! Laaawls! Awh man... worst day ever :cry:

I think for some SKUs the non-OC model has shipped more than the OC one, so it wasn't even as easy as just ordering the OC for faster delivery.
Next gen, who knows what the binning will be like - it could be terrible and the non-OCs ship faster as a result... :rolleyes:

Yes, almost all that movement is cancellations unfortunately :(
 
Feel really bad for all people who ordered MSI cards. Shocking loyalty by MSI. From OCUK alone 500+ customers who paid upfront and they can even be bothered to honor it. Thats customer loyalty both to teh customer and OCUK. This year must have been a crazy year for the guys and girls working at OCUK, feel for you all

I just don't get it. Is this Strix OC really so valuable to be worth all this wait without switching? I mean, I know Asus has a good rep and all, but still it doesn't command *that* much extra value, surely?

In terms of OC and pure power the Strix OC is the best 3080 on the market.

I don't need the money atm anyway. It was only ever going to be a toy. 4K Cuda editing and gaming etc.
I don't have the time or patience to scour discord or twitter for updates.

I am just grateful to still be on the list and OC have not cancelled on us all. They loose on pretty much every pre-order they satisfy now.
 
Another Friday, another disappointing queue update. Moved 5 spots since December, sad times!

Feel bad for the those folk who ordered that cancelled MSI card but I reckon there will be a few more of us unhappy in the weeks to come.

Anyone wanna place bets on the next line to get hit with the EOL bat?
