NVIDIA DLSS Reportedly Coming to Call of Duty: Thursday, April 22nd

A couple of WZ shots at 3840x1600 - settings max with DLSS on 'balanced' and RT off (believe RT doesn't work in WZ?)

last time i played modern warfare, driver image sharpening was bugged and created artifacts in the game

i hope they fixed that

edit: ok, it seems to be fixed. image sharpening always worked wonderful in this game, greatly enhancing much blurry native resolutions

i tried dlss quality at 1080p, image quality somewhat lowered but not that much

but it was not needed gpu bound wise

post some screenshots and your settings

I cant be bothered but Ive tried a few setting and DLSS just isn't for me its blurry and just not as sharp as 1440p native. Not just me eith as the lads I play with with 3080 get the same results so..

This is a real shame for you and your lads, as Youtube is full of videos stating 1440p DLSS Quality and 4k DLSS Performance or Quality are very good. I've not got the game yet, but I also find 1440p DLSS (v2) Quality to be almost indistinguishable from native in the titles I do have. Indeed I'd have to compare static screen shots to find any difference and even then it's a 50/50 to which one is DLSS.

Look at these two screenshots and tell me the DLSS one is not blurry compared to native with SMAA 1x? look at teh sharpness of his knee pads and the truck behind on the second image. In game its also very apparent that anything more than 10 feet away is being smoothed out an blurred

I find these two images impossible to compare due to the difference in scene, lighting and the amount of overlays. Any chance of some in game static screenshots?

What card are you using?

Native is better 100% in your pics, however I notice you have the same frame rate (albeit during the infinite walk). Are you getting any boost from DLSS in gameplay?

I really like DLSS, but it depends on what screen I'm on. If I'm using a controller and on my LG TV (4k 120hz), then I'll whack on DLSS. If I'm on my 60hz monitor (also 4k) I'll usually turn it off and stay native because I don't benefit from the extra frames.

I wanted DLSS to increase image quality @1440p and make the game look close to 4k native. FPS is not an issue for me I get 165 solid (locked)

DLSS shouldn't increase image quality. It's for letting you run either a higher resolution like 4k or higher frames by rendering it at a lower resolution and using some magical machine learning to upscale it. (oversimplified explanation).

If you get 165 FPS on high settings at 1440p without DLSS then it won't improve things at all. If you got to 165 FPS because you turned down some settings, then turning on DLSS might let you improve them.

There are instances where dlss can improve image quallity. DLSS on its quallity preset at 4K looks better than native 4k in sometitles.

.

DLSS can increase the image quality over native resolution when set to balanced or quality. It uses AI upscaling technology - just like say Samsung 8K TVs can make a 4K picture look better.

Also the GeForce game overlay has sharpening options if you don't want to use DLSS.

COD is pretty blurry I find with any of the AA turned on - needs sharpening for sure

Yep - regardless of dlss the whole game is blurry, doesn't matter if AA is off or you use one of the AA options provided, the whole image looks like a temporal reconstruction

a couple of friends tried it over the weekend both stoped the frame drops caused isues

oh and complained about the blurryness

but to be fair warzone has way to much added blur the game seems so poorly optimised compared to battlefield

when driving cars ect it blurs a lot
