Hi,

Just building another machine and not quite sure which board and ram to get. I have been looking through the other forums and still not sure. It will be used with a 5600x for now. I will probably put 32 gig of ram in, but 16 would be an option for now. It will need WiFi built in and I think 2 nvme drives will be used, but possibly more in the future.

Any good pairings?

Cheers.

GIGABYTE X570 AORUS ULTRA or the ASUS ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING has 3 x m2 slots, ram you want 3600mhz just depends what ypu want to pay.

Cheers. Would the b550 Rog strix be a good buy if I just wanted 2 nvme? Quite a bit cheaper that is all.

I went with Kingston HyperX Fury 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 PC4-28800C18 3600MHz Dual Channel Kit and MB-351-MS MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk WiFi to go with my 5600X. I had to flash the BIOS, which didn't seem to work on the bench but after building it I flashed again and it was perfect.

Still not got a board, everything else is bought!

I'm a fan of the Asus boards as I like the onboard code LEDs. Which is the best Asus board to get at the moment, was considering the b550 boards. I have looked at them all and I keep reading the odd dodgy review, so not sure!

Any mid range B550 (£150) board should give you the power delivery to hit maximum boost on upto a 5900x.

You have to be a bit more careful if your going B560, some boards can't even boost the 11400 properly by default.

3600 mhz RAM for Ryzen, 3200 mhz for Intel.
