Bykski 3080FE Block Thermal pad size?

Just ordered a Bykski 3080FE block and was curious on the size thermal pads to get for this specific block? if I am correct in thinking.. It's that they come with thermal pads already but from what I read they may be a little too small...

I've ordered 1.5mm and also 2mm but not sure if that's going to cut it or if I need to go 3mm?

Anyone with a Bykiski 3080FE block, if they could help then that would be great!

You'll end up with 2 or 3 spare thermal pads after using them on the memory chip. For the back you'll need a mix of 3MM where the ram should be and other areas on the board. I recall you need 1.5MM thickness for the VRM/Mofsets.

The backplate which came with the mine was for the 3090FE, so it kinda fits. I hope they replaced it with the 3080FE on yours, or you can use the original FE backplate instead.

perfect! Thanks for that, I heard that they come with thermal pads anyway but it might not be enough to cover everything

Unless Byksi seriously cuts corners on their blocks, every gpu block I have ever mounted has come with enough thermal pads and I have never needed to buy more.

However there can be meaningful gains to be had from replacing the included pads with higher quality pads from Gelid or Thermalright etc.

I got one recently and it was a 3090 backplate. Not fitted it yet.
