Hi all, I have a inno3d 3090 frostbite card with factory installed waterblock.

My screen flickered a few times while using on Thursday and when I went to use the PC today it hangs at post checkpoint 97 which is related to the GPU.

I have tried a different PSU from my daughters pc and the fault remains, my loop does not allow me to try a different PCIe slot, but I don't really see that being any different...

I have seen this fault occurring when people fit blocks to the cards, but as this was factory fitted it is not the case here? RMA time?

Jon.

Wee update, reset bios now stuck at b2, booted into windows through igpu and noticed on of my nvme drives is not being accessed properly only showing 2 files and 7GB not the half TB it should be...
Thinking now it could be a pcie fault as they could share bandwidth, will lengthen one of the pipes tomorrow and try another pcie slot hopefully that will be the case and not the vga card!

Any thoughts?

all i can say, u better of having a faulty mobo than gpu :) but either way its not funny. hope its mobo u have issues with.

can u remove nvme? there is small chance mvne shorting mobo. u just dont know untill u take things appart.

Unfortunately it is the card, tried it in another slot, problematic ssd was just a loose connection and not an nvme drive. Error d2. Setting up an rma now...

Looks like you tried everything from CMOS reset, reseating GPU etc so it must be the GPU as you said. I have found that motherboards especially mid to high end ones last for ages as long as you don't do a Linus and drop it.

Hi All, wee update. Turns out is was not the card after all, but my z390 Mobo and the F10 BIOS that does not seem to like RTX30xx cards! Good excuse for a cheeky wee change to the AMD X570 and Ryzen 5900X platform....
