*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

what’s the point in releasing the 3080 Ti when Nvidia can’t even fulfill the 3080’s just makes no sense. They should be making more 3080’s not bringing out new SKU’s!!! What’s worse is when it launches it’s gonna be out of stock and overpriced anyway. No ones gonna get one and it will be the same situation as the regular 3080. I like Nvidia and they make some great GPU’s but they should really stop releasing new SKU’s if they can’t keep with production with the likes of the 3080, just causes more stress and more problems. They should have just delayed the launch of the 3080 Ti until they are able to keep up in demand with production of regular 3080’s

I'm 500+ in the queue for my TUF none OC

Obv didn't expect there would be a shortage or such high demand or a pandemic when I preordered. Really wish I had ordered on launch day ..

was hoping I would get it by the summer as i want to play so many new games that my 1070 cant handle haha.

Don't really know what to do now if i I'm honest

I was in the same boat as you matey... until I picked up a 6800xt. I used to have a 980ti which is broadly the same at the 1070. My advice is to keep playing games on 1080p high and try to just enjoy the game rather than regretting the frame rate... It will sort itself out soon enough, never know you might be able to get a RDNA3 card end of year.

Greed, greed is basically the only answer, they just want money.

Yeah but i dont wanna have to spend 400-500 more for a 6800xt ..

I also play on 1440p so thats another issue haha

find an alternative timeline where AMD have the 80% market share?

From what I understand, the 3080Ti is based on the 3090 architecture rather than the 3080. As such it's hoped that it'll be less mining friendly and easier to get the cards into hands of gamers.
It's hard to predict how TI production impacts on the non-Ti. Obviously, this still ignores the biggest issue. Scalping bots.

Day 1 orders have only been received up to early evening, so even that wouldn't have helped much. Placed my order when I got another chance at 9PM and still 100+ in the queue. :(

Do you mean it's mega expensive like the 3090 and therefore not good cost/hash ratio? I didn't think the 3090 architecture was inherently worse for mining.

 I wouldn't know, but my point was that the 3080Ti is built on the 3090 GPU rather than the 3080 one.

from what I’ve seen the 3080 Ti looks like it will cost £2300 as someone in Abu Dhabi is already selling msi suprim’s for $3500. The 3080 Ti doesn’t seem that impressive if I’m being honest. You might as well get a 3090 instead. I doubt we can get our hands on a 3080 Ti when it gets launched

anyone breaking NDA by selling the cards now it's likely to have a real grasp on the cost pricing. Questions have to be asked of MSI since all leaks appear to be from their cards.
As far as we are concerned, since we still haven't heard anything official, we can't even hazard a guess on price or performance.

it's possible that Nvidia's thinking is that they can get some 3080 customers to switch but the main aim is to "kill" the 3090 off, since we hear a lot about memory shortages.

Finally happened, DPD just delivered my ASUS 3080 TUF OC card, ordered at the start of October 2020 for £624.99 + VAT

Happy days, I'm off to play, bench and be happy for a few years again :D

No none OC are incoming. They have shipped more AMP HOLO which we have no back orders on, as such we are upgrading Trinity OC to these and the OC back orders will all be cleared soon, when that happens we shall begin upgrading none OC Trinity to either Trinity OC or AMP HOLO. I think you will have your card based on position 5 in say 3-4 weeks now.
