No it will come to consoles too, i believe it won't have all the advanced graphics but it will be launched on Xbox and PS5.I'm sure I read somewhere that the Enhanced Edition is designed for PC only and won't be released for consoles...

Doubt it, I will probably disable it. I'll let you know tomorrow.Hopefully this will get more games onboard with ray tracing now if amds fans herald ray tracing as the next best thing going by this![]()
Haha the enhanced version performance compared with the older game perf: The only notable improvement is on AMD![]()
Those benchmarks are with DLSS off - supposedly the 3070 gets 100fps indoors and 80fps outdoors on DLSS quality mode at 1440p. Game's out in 23 minutes so I'll check it out and confirm![]()
Release date is Friday 7th isn't it?

Of course DLSS will improve fps for Nvidia cards but for benchmarking purposes and apples to apples comparisons the settings need to be exactly the same. What's interesting here is that only real improvement in performance is for AMD. It just shows that most existing RT games are designed for Nvidia cards and proper optimisation for RDNA2 can dramatically improve performance for the AMD gpu's.
The benchmarks directly above are for Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition (out today and free if you already have Metro Exodus).
These benchmarks show ( if they will be confirmed that AMD is much closer to Nvidia in RT performance and the huge gap we've seen in games like Control or CP 2077 is caused by the lack of optimization for AMD GPU. Some of us have said this from the beginning while others have kept saying that AMD can only do RT shadows.I mean, sure, but according to that graph above we're seeing an improvement of 2.2fps for the 6800XT and it's *still* running at sub-60fps (on Ultra settings).
I will say that this chart doesn't seem to tally with the other one posted (are these 4k results?) but the game's out now (downloading!!!) people can run their own tests![]()
One thing is to have a 20-25% performance gap and another thing is to have a 50-100% performance gap. As i said it can be good news for the next gen of AMD cards.According to that graph there's a what? 16-18% performance difference between the 6800XT and the 3080 (and again, the 6800XT can't hit 60fps) - I'd say the gap is plenty..?

I assume the RT is at console level, looked mediocre.
