Gigabyte: "Made in China Products Low Quality"

China tend to make worthless cr*p unless someones monitoring the quality.

Thats the issue isn't theres no QA if someone can flood the western market with cheap tat and lord knows theres container ship loads of it on fleabay and even Amazon market, why bother making quality stuff when theres vast amounts to money to made in peddling junk? They certainly have the ability to make quality products just not the incentive.

The reason Gigabyte got delisted from all major markets is not saying "low quality". It's because of secession or in another word "Taiwan Independence". Gigabyte phrased the word like this "Unlike other companies who use low quality products which are made in China, we always use products made in Taiwan."
While it is a common sense that there is only one China, the punishment for Gigabyte is inevitable. If Gigabyte used the word "mainland China" or "mainland" instead of "China", things would be very different.

My view is that China can happily make high quality products, but only if that’s what the design/product specifications insist on.

I think that a lot of Chinese products have been. crap because of the “assumption” that without those detailed specs, that the item will be made to typical western quality standards.

I mean you're right. take for example iPhones, which are exceptionally high quality and are made in China.

It just depends on the requirements and enforcement of those by the brand itself.

Its not all equal or the image of it isn't anyway. For example, Volkswagen and Audi make cars in Germany and they make cars in Mexico, they make cars in South Africa and they even make cars in China. Most people given the option will buy the one made in Germany and avoid at all costs the one made in China

You could say the same about Asus and MSI. Everyone has had their good and bad on all brands.
My Gigabyte X570 Master works amazingly well so far and in general I've had much more luck with Gigabyte motherboards than MSI or Asus (anecdotal I know).

However, the cooler on their high end graphics cards, unlike on their motherboards, is a classic case of form over function so I avoid those (it's massive and doesn't even cool well while it's packed to the gunnels with RGB)

but it's not the first time a business has made decisions due to fear of what the Chinese Communist Party will do, it's not just a China v Taiwan issue. Mesut Ozil of Arsenal criticised China over their treatment of Uigur Muslims and he was banished from the squad never to be seen again, Arsenal care more about expanding their brand in China than they do standing up for minorities. It's the same for a lot of western corporations, they claim to be fighting for oppressed minorities in the west (because it's good optics and profitable) but turn a blind eye to it elsewhere whenever it suits.

I believe also the NBA in the USA has been overly sensitive of protecting their position in the Chinese market, there's probably countless other examples.
