I'm surprised stock levels haven't improved, surely demand is going to slow and I'd have thought they be producing loads. I'm assuming this as chine seemingly doesn't have any issues with a virus and that most parts probably come from China.

There are shortages on materials. The virus isn't the only issue at play here unfortunately.
 
Since this is supposedly easier than the 3080 FE drops I assume is drops every couple of weeks right? how long till I get another shot at ordering from a broken retailer site?

I havent seen any drops today at all.
 
Amazon seem to have delisted the disc version. Edit no they haven't it shows under controllers sub section though for some reason.
 
Finally got around to setting up the PS5 today after getting lucky with Argos earlier in the week.
Damn the size of this thing compared to the Series X is amazing. Just squeezed into my unit.

 
I have the NIDEC 17 blade fan in mine.

The better fans have 23 blades.

Looking on eBay you can buy the better quality fans with 23 blades for around £50/60.

Just been playing Spiderman and shaking my head at the sound of the fan.

Got another reply from Sony Support,

The service centre have confirmed that there is no fault with the unit. After reviewing the video the console does not appear to make any abnormal noise and is operating correctly.

We will not be able to arrange another service for this console.

I'm sorry we cannot assist as you would have liked. But please rest assured that the console is working as intended.

Does anyone know why my when I go in to my profile, on the PS5 it says I am "Live" ? I am not playing live or streaming in any case? Is it a bug? I have tried restarting the PS5 :-/

It's really not worth bothering, unless you fancy camping some broken website from 12 midnight to 4am when the stock drops.

Last month there were very few drops, and the "massive" drops this months are still gone in seconds.

You've got to be very dedicated and more than a bit lucky to get, well, anything, these days.
 
Not sure if this is an IOS issue, but I've started having a strage problem...

Only playing Hitman, and when playing through my ipad any time I pick up an item "Agent 47" immediately throws it away, a bit like the L2 is stuck down (however, none of the other L2 functionality is happening)... Connected my controller to my PC and it doesn't show any of the buttons stuck down.

Disconnected Dual Sense, game is fine on touchscreen or Dual Shock. I don't want to blame the controller, and will connect it back to the PS5 tonight, might be fortunate enough to get a new firmware download.

Ipad is on the 14.6 beta... I was on the beta because it was needed to get the Dual Sense connected when 14.4 was live. Removed the beta now, but need to wait for a new 14.5 update before it will downgrade from 14.6...
 
Started replaying Sekiro on ps5 after getting to the final boss before quitting on release on PS4.

The 60fps upgrade is sublime although I may have to dig out my PS4 pads as the ps5 pad size is different to my muscle memory.

So far I've taken down the ogre, snake and ashina horse man. I'm about to start the rat killing quest, I will probably farm skills here for a while before moving on.

For anyone having a similar issue at any point…

Updated both controllers to latest firmware
Connected both controllers to PS5, no issues
Connected both controllers to iPad, using remote play, “Agent 47” insists on throwing everything he holds
No issue using touchscreen or DS4

Fingers crossed a new release comes out and fixes the problem is the dual sense worked great on 14.5
 
Anyone tried streaming from a PS5 through a computer using a capture card?

Trying to find the recommended minimum components for a smooth stream.
 
How are these people predicting when these drops occur?

Wishlists seem to do nothing, its in my wishlist on john lews, I just found out they had a drop but nothing from them.

What these retailers need is a basic concept such as pre ordering. I dont mind pre ordering and waiting for a few months.
