Watching Friday's PS Access stream of this at the moment, looks rather janky with lots of performance dips, stuttering and texture streaming issues. Hopefully for those who have pre-ordered, they've got a day-one patch in the works.

If you're running next-gen the consoles have enough juice to run it freely. PS5 is being soft limited to 1080p 60fps and Series X has 4k 60fps from the get-go. PS5 optimizations are being worked on - already confirmed by the dev as they have some stability issues keeping it 4k 60fps on the PS5.
On Old gen, performance may suffer if you are running OG PS4 and Xbox One which is to be expected as those consoles are long in the tooth now. The performance on the PS4 Pro and One X for last-gen owners will be a lot better.
Nice world but lots & lots of very empty space. No roaming mobs of any kind.
Also huge amount of cut and paste. All the army camps and forts are exactly the same layout, even down to the location of loot boxes. Every waterfall has a secret room behind it with a locker and a rubbish pile to loot.
Combat takes place around a set location and is basically the same. 1 or 2 mini-bosses surrounded by a ring of trash mobs. They look different but have the same moves.
Crafting is fun but there are way too many systems in the game that over complicate stuff for no reason as it is all very easy and you end up not using most of it because its just not needed.
Its all very repetitive with a lot of fetch quests to pad it out.
Dialogue is boring after a short while and painful to have to skip through.
Think this sums up what I've seen of it so far and not even played it yet. Needless to say I'm not actually looking forward to picking it up to play it. Am half tempted to request its refunded at the door (Smyths) given how disappointing I know it is going to be, however, I am a sucker for this kind of game. AC: Valhalla was very similar although at least it was somewhat fleshed out.
Finished this yesterday, very generic and so many bugs.
Can’t platinum at the moment because the old world gadget trophy is bugged until they patch it. (Can’t be bothered to uninstall and reinstall, while offline so it doesn’t update)
I thankfully got past the tutorial which was overly political to the point of ramming it down your throat - almost found it insulting.
It got better after with capturing the outposts etc however, haven't had the time to be gaming since it came out and nothing is making me want to go back to it. Quite disappointing.
