Nokia 1.3 missing SD card message on startup

So my mum got a Nokia 1.3 from Three, they set it up for her. Took SD Card from old mobile and put in new. Wiped it and lost her photos.

Anyway WhatsApp won't download the backup and any videos on whatsapp won't download.
I've reinstall WhatApp but that doesn't help.

What is strange is that everytime she powers up the mobile, there is a message about missing SD card. If I go into setting storage the SD card is there.

Any ideas?

This eve I'm going to wipe everything and put in a new sd card
 
Got it sorted. Didn't need to wipe the mobile in the end. I just put in a new sd card.

Can anyone suggest a windows app that could recover photos from the SD card after its been formatted and used a bit?
