*** PC Gaming - Daily Deals Thread ***

Don't need to pickup a free game to get the voucher - though I'll be honest I kept going round in circles in the launcher to find the claim voucher page. In the end I used the link in the Hexus article IIRC and did it in the browser.

Edit :- heres the link https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/coupons/mega-sale
though it may redirect you the first time for some reason, at least the Hexus link did to me. I think it was checking for an account. If you've got the launcher open it should auto sign you in.

Among Us free on epic now.
And the EGS app decided to forget my login data plus epic thinks that the computer I logged into is completely different even though it's the same computer I've used for over a year along with the fact that they're not sending out 2FA emails

Epic games can go do one now.

The steam Open World sale starts this evening, might be a few decent open world bargains on there maybe.

Looks like it's started.

Was hoping to pick up DayZ as it's tagged as open world but it doesn't appear to be part of the sale. Despite its issues I've watched a few videos by AnarchyHD and RunningmanZ and fancy geting involved on community servers like the good old days of online gaming. Bugs and quirks were always part and parcel of that so I can forgive them for a good time. It's not worth £33 though, especially when historically it's been quite low. It's just been on sale for consoles too. Meh!

Scratch that, they've just discounted it. They must still be adding items to the sale, there's a few decent deals like Assins Creed Odessy, ETS2, etc.

Nothing much catching my eye, but I have a fair amount of open world games already from there.

My recommendations, only what I have on my account:

Car Mechanic Sim 2018 (has mod support)
BeamNG.Drive
The Long Dark
Brick Rigs
Simple Planes

All are fairly cheap and good fun.

Just picked up Watch Dogs Legion for £14.99. It is on sale on Epic for £24.99 anyway, I claimed the Among Us and I also got £10 voucher for free.

Been waiting for this one on the cheap just to drive around London to be honest haha.

Is a free demo a deal? I know I'm old, but back in my day demos were usual free. Before this "early access" nonsense :p

It's like the original Quake II, you get the demo .wad file included but when you run it you can point it to an existing Q2 install and it becomes the full game. :-)

I haven't yet got round the 30 fps lock on my system yet though.
