We've just had two sun tunnels put in the landing of our loft extension, they let loads of light through but they just look... cheap. The surrounds are plastic, the diffuser is plastic, the internal tunnel is crumpled foil etc, it looks very office/light industrial.
The actual external bit is fine and I know the two are separate as the internal bit was only just fitted, so what other options do we have for a nicer finish?
Ideally we'd buy a 360mm ish diameter off the shelf plastered, or plasterable/paintable tube and just insert it inside the foil and take the ceiling diffuser/ring off. But a search for something like that turns up zilch.
Any advice/options?
