Anyone pre ordering a 3080ti lol?

I would. OCuk have been excellent. I made the mistake of going with a MSI 970, which worked out to be worse than my r290 for gaming. OCuk gave me a full refund after almost 6months. The pre-order for my 3080 was fullfilled ASAP with email updates containing queue position while I waited.
I would too, pre-ordered my 3090, got regular queue position mail updates and bagged one in November 2020. I do feel sorry for all those still waiting though but it's hardly okuk fault. Good luck to all still trying to bag a 3000 series card.

And remember the FE's aren't LHR limited so the miner's will be trying like **** to get them! :D
Well they have said they are not releasing LHR versions of the existing FE cards. They will be third party only and carry the LHR identifier on the retail box to differentiate them.

However, it could well be that all 3080ti are LHR as standard.

Why exactly are GPUs so hard to come by? Just mining?

What about PS5's?

What I am getting at is, when is this going to go back to normal?

Mining is only a small problem, It's a mix of 2 main things -

1. Scalpers scoop up whatever they can and increase the price to ludicrous amounts, This goes for GPU's, CPU's and consoles, Sadly some retailers are following suit and pre-emptively increasing the price way beyond MSRP, Making up excuses for their blatant day light robbery when the real reason is simple, Pure greed.

2. The current pandemic, Although slowly ramping down, Has had far reaching consequences on supply chains for raw materials.

Guess we'll find out in the next few days, I've seen stuff saying that they're not going to nerf the FE cards and other things saying all new 30 series chips as of May I think it was will have the nerf, both on the NVidia blog site..

I was thinking of trying to pre-order but the retailers will no doubt price gouge pretty hard so I'll pass.

Prices are starting to show and as you see they cost more than a 3090 version was on release day. Then in a week expect to pay £2k+ after they put up these so called MSRP prices for a short time to play they were at MSRP of the AIB and then play demand and shortages and all the blaa blaa till they are all over £2k+.

My reading of it was that there will be LHR 3080 cards. But NOT the 3080FE.

However, that ALL 3080Ti chips, including the FE would be LHR.

Further to that... I kinda read into that.... probably wont be making regular 3080fe's anymore. (Why would they bother when they can sell the same chip/cooler for nearly 2x under the Ti name..)

Not long till we know for sure though.

Thats shocking...but not surprising.

Also nice to see the "discontinued" Gaming X Trio make an appearance again.
That whole "Z Trio" thing was clearly the pre-order cancel charade everybody thought it was...
