3080Ti listing live

Looks like a chunky price for a 12GB card that gamers have been screaming for. Bit overkill for me though.

I agree, what games would an RTX 3080 not provide good performance (60 FPS) for, where the RTX 3080 TI would?

To put things in perspective though, the RTX 3080 TI FE retail price (£1,049) is slightly lower than the RTX 2080 TI, which was £1,099 in September 2018. Taking inflation into account, that's about £1,165 in today's money.

I wonder if the RTX 3070 TI will be the last release of the Ampere series?

And the 1080ti was £699 (~£780 in today's money) before it. I know the RTX series has extra dedicated hardware in it, the dies are bigger on a more expensive node but the price hike is over the top in my opinion.

Summers here, I'm holding out till the autumn and cooler temps and will take another look then.

Glad I got my 3090 at rrp , half ram for same price . Nice…..
Me too. Seemed poor value at the time, but looks like almost good value now. It's not just the extra RAM either. The 3090's cooler is more substantial and effective. Plus you can mine on it if you're that way inclined (I'm not).

Even the founders edition? I keep hearing they are not hash rate limited, but no actual confirmation from what I can tell.

All 3080 TI's are low hash rate

I understood hash limiters could be worked around anyway, and that the Ti had 20% better hash rates than the plain 3080 that miners are currently enjoying, which is what so many reviewers were worried about the forthcoming release?

The 3060 was "worked around" by mining a different coin, until the fubar on the drivers. From my understanding the TI cards have silicon with the LHR baked in. How effective LHR will be at deterring miners is debatable, but it will certainly be far less advertising than any of the current 30 series family cards.
