Looking for 1080Ti performane @ £250

Pretty much already been said, but this wouldn't be realistic even without the current problems. The closest current card to a 1080 Ti is the 3060 Ti, which starts at £369. If it weren't for the supply issues, a used 1080 Ti for £250 might be possible.
 
Is it just me or lately are there more OP's who come out of the wood work, ask I question, then you never see them again in the same thread ? :) Not our fault the answers are not to the liking? :)

When OCUK are selling a brand new 1050ti for £229 you just know you aint gonna get a 1080ti for £250 2nd hand.
 
I guess there's not a lot to say, he's asked for options and been told there aren't any, so there's no follow up to be had like "would you get Nvidia card A or AMD card B?".

The alternative would be an OP flogging a dead horse "What REALLY???" "How about this GT 710 I found, that far off a 1080ti???"
 
All you can do is save n spend silly money on a GPU or wait it out, that could take a long time as already save, or u just might get lucky
 
I think the best option is a 1660 super if they are available.

Forget buying a 5 year old GPU for £400+.

Anyone buying a 1080ti now needs their head examined. I'd rather pay more and go for the 3060 or 5700xt at least you get warranty and it hasn't been abused for half a decade and likley to die on you at any moment.
 
Good OC on Vega 64 isn't far off, they used to go for £160-180 last year ... now £600+ :cry:. I wanted to get a second one to match my WC loop but it's impossible

Were closer in that eventually the stock shortage will be over, and RX 6600/GTX 3050ti cards might be knocking about. But no, the cards that are being released are ~£500/£1050 RRP, respectively, and of course are instantly unavailable.

Since the new Ti's will be even harder to buy then no the older cards will be worth even more.

1) The easiest way to get any card now is pay a high price for a high end 2nd hand card.

2) Refresh Nvidia store every day/night at random times and buy a 3090 (you will be extremely lucky to get a 3080/3080Ti).
 
I sold my 1080Ti and Titan Xp after I bought my 3090 FE and got nearly all my cash back and today I would get even more (EB in both cases).
 
I sold my 1080ti on MM here on Saturday for £465. I'm guessing i could have got more for it on a certain auction site, but not worth the hassle.
To be honest OP, i would have rather kept the card than sell for £250 at the moment. Frankly your living in cloud cookoo land if you think you'll get one for £250.
