It looks like this motherboard has some lights at the bottom right corner, near the chipset heatsink. Just wondering if it's possible to control/disable these from within the bios?

Also any other tips or thoughts on this mobo would be great. Thinking of ordering one. It's either this or the Gigabyte Aorus B550 Pro-P.

Cheers

Usually you can disable the onboard rgb you could check thd manual to see if its an option in the bios.

Look for a setting that says ROG Effects under the Advanced menu option. Click on OnboardLED, then select Disable, and the RGB on your motherboard will shut off

Only that both boards have less than optimal GPU slot placement, so less airflow under GPU (in a micro-ATX case anyway). Becomes a bigger issue with triple-slot cards.

Aye I noticed that, compared to the MSI Mortar board, on these two I'm looking at the PCI-E slot is one further down. That may actually be good though? As it makes a bit more room above the GPU for my massive CPU cooler, and I'm not interested in triple slot cards anyway - looking more at the 3060/3060Ti/6700XT range in terms of GPUs. Although on that front I'm still waiting until prices come down :(

Thanks for the heads up.

I don't actually have the board yet but I couldn't find any search results for these terms on google or in the manual PDF. You're right though, it'd be weird if they can't be deactivated. But on my current board (MSI B450M Mortar Max) that is how it is.

In my experience, Asus let you deactivate any LEDs and such, but I can't speak for that specific board. Sometimes they show bios in reviews or unboxing on youtube
