RIP libido.

I understand that fear that many people have of DHT inhibitors, but 3 months in and everything's working fine, I'm horny as ever.

Real sides are rare, nocebo is common. Some studies have reported more sexual dysfunction in control groups vs. finasteride.

In the highly unlikely event that I suddenly suffer from E.D. etc., I'll stop and it will go away.

Just embrace the baldness

No way. Not yet anyway.

Before and after shots please!

This is less than 3 months' progress on finasteride and minoxidil, considered very short on the DHT inhibitor timeline, both straight after a shower and shampoo, no other product applied:

The lighting looks very different on the right, but actually I have a suntan now and my hair has massively darkened, so it's not as misleading as it might look.

Bought an electric strimmer after loving the chainsaw. Unfortunately im not too thrilled with it. Power is great but im running out of juice after 10 minutes good strimming which doesnt cut the mustard.

Ordered a couple nock off 9.0ah batteries off ebay. If they dont make it any better ill be looking to return or sell.

Before and after shots please!

I could never swap then from my 4 stroke Honda. When i am stimming I tend to be for a good couple of hours minimum! Would need around 24 batteries to cover that!

That's quite impressive for 3 months. Best to attack these things early? Judging from all the comments Im getting from people taller than me lately I may have to have a look!

Using it again this morning and definitely got some buyers remorse. It can just about do 1 cabin and a bit round a lake before needing a swap. I've got 6 5.0ah batts and 3 charging points but it's still a faff

Was looking at the backpack battery extenders but they are mad money and only hold 4 batteries anyway so only double lifespan. Maybe if I can find a 3rd party one that works, otherwise I think I'll relegate it to the garden and the Mrs can use it without having to worry about mixing fuel.

This is absolutely the case with androgenetic alopecia, assuming the person cares about hair loss. The longer it's left, the harder it is to recover, almost irrespective of the ultimate solution.

With zero sides and one 5 minutes process every night when I brush my teeth, I so wish I'd started this sooner and I've just ordered 6 months' worth of dutasteride to hopefully kick it on even more. It's as easy as taking a multi vit.

For those struggling to replace OEM protectors on the Samsung phones... this is as good as it gets IMO..

Bizarre that the tempered glass versions with the weird thumb cut out for fingerprint even passed the dodgy Chinese product QA, let alone onto Amazon with anything less than consistent 1 star reviews.

After years of worrying about my hair loss and desperately holding onto it, I did the bold (bald?) option of shaving it all off and have never looked back. Looks infinitely smarter than my balding hair and if you keep a short chin line beard, you can look quite manly. In evidence:

Further to my post above, the Netflix film “The Silence” is completely naff but the main actor in it was rocking this look and made it work well. Slightly scruffier than I was suggesting but you get the idea.

I remarked when watching that he looked pretty handsome! Be aware that this does actually require a fair bit of maintenance to keep looking good - shaving the head every 3/4 days at least.

Here's me.. April 2016 the photo on the right was taken and a week later I shaved it off. The thinning at the front was pretty obvious. I was only 31.

^^^ what an improvement!!

:D

A weekly trip to the barbers after work on a Friday is what I currently do, need to keep that beard sharp AF.

This is my issue, i'm lazy and so only tend to shave my head/trim beard every few weeks and so my hair/beard goes from "that looks alright" right to "he looks like a hobo". It's the thin whispy hairs on top that probably get the worst of it.

For me, I have a Phillips grooming clipper (was about £100) - shave my head on without a clipper length guard so it leaves a fair bit of short hair stubble, beard gets done at 2mm, then on the neck I give it the clipper treatment before having a wet shave.

I can’t grow a ‘proper’ beard but if it’s kept short and pruned it still does look smart.

Yeah to keep looking sharp it’s once every 5 or so days really. I tend to do it once every week timed in before meetings or being social.

Yea I can do a pretty decent job at home, but not to the same level as a barber, and I want them super crisp lines. Makes a huge difference.

Yeah i guess when going that short it's important.

I tend to go 2mm for my head and then ~10mm for beard so lines aren't really important.

Plus i look like a bum clothing wise most of the time so having an on-point beard is the least of my worries :p

I would say it would be easier to judge after a haircut. Surely the pic on the right the hair is longer, so there is literally more of it? Is the darkening part of the treatment?

You’re not going to reverse going bald so what is the point? A hair transplant makes sense if you’re desperate but otherwise in three months you’ve gone from really thin hair to slightly thicker but still really thin hair. Both look worse than a zero with a beard.

I thought the same but I wasn't brutal enough to come out and say it.

People on here are harsh :p

@Participant if you feel better and more comfortable on the treatment plan, go for it.

All I’ll say is that in 10 years time, you’ll probably look back and think that was a waste of time and money

Own it - go bald for good :)

I'm prepping for a hair transplant so yeah.
