Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

I might have to give it a try then

Fish can be a bit fatty, so the juices run down and burn on the charcoal and give a nice flavour. You probably want a large metal mesh or one of those grilling baskets you can clamp the fish into to turn easily so it doesn't stick to the BBQ. There are plenty of recipes out there for BBQ marinades for fish too.

I think we always think of meat on BBQs, but on the continent where they are more into seafood, you'll find they BBQ fish all the time.

MCT oil to add to my smoothies and maybe other stuff. Only 15ml in any given day recommended so need to choose what to add to. Bottle should last some months

No idea how I would go about sorting a 6 foot high gap there but it seems to be working nicely anyway, so I'm good.

Just close the curtain over that gap to minimise it.

Definitely. I have my window closed (but open) to the thinned outlet and it cools my room just fine. Tbh, you can leave the door open into the hallway and it still cools the room, you can feel the difference walking into the hallway. I think people get a little carried away with making the room air-tight for their aircon :)

For those who bought air conditioning units recently, how are they going and can you recommend? I don't know how many more nights I'll tolerate sleeping like this - I hate the fan noise and my partner hates the heat :p

If you hate fan noise… you won’t like an air con unit. They tend to be the same, if not slightly louder than a fan. (Well, mine is.. other brands may differ)

edit - keeps my room at 18c or below, though, so it’s a trade off I am willing to accept :p

I'm not totally against fan noise, although it can make me wake up irritable (but I will sleep through anything typically). However, the air con unit is probably on the cusp of what is reasonable - I had to ear plug up.

But it was a soothing 18 degrees so a small trade off to make!

I think if you get them vented properly then they don't need to run as long as they do with poor venting. My office gets to over 35C in the afternoons without the aircon unit, it's been a godsend this year. I got he one mentioned in this thread.
