5800x vs 3700x worth the extra £60?

So after not having a desktop gaming PC for many a year and not being too fussed about building it myself. I've been looking at this pre-built

Just wondering is it worth the extra £60 for the 5800x? Recently bought myself a very nice Samsung Odyssey G9 monitor so plan to game as high res as I can.

A 5600X would be better value if you are just gaming. That saves £81 over the 3700X It will also be a bit faster.

Not just gaming no, Dev work plus playing around with containers and vms. Memory will be upgraded a later point

That's work for lots of CPU horsepower.
Also with current memory prices 32GB should be aim straight from the start.
At least unless you want to do things one at time instead of multitasking.

Definitely you will need to go with 5900x, especially now when is discounted to 479.99.
For ram i will suggest 2*16gb 3600 Crucial Ballistx (good ram for low price)

if you already have a 3700x then selling to upgrade might not be worth. But, if you're doing a direct comparison: 5600x itself outperfoms a 3700x in cinebench multicore workloads and the like, but if you need the extra cores the 5800x is definitely worth the difference in price.
