6700 XT only viable option south of £800???

I was going to bite the bullet and get a 6900XT + PSU and keep it for 10 years(haha) but it just went up £100 overnight:-(
Same, I was looking at the MSI Gaming X today on OCuk, 6900XT does seem to be more reasonable priced when you look at the landscape and its in stock.... still a little high for me.

Personally i dont think i would pay £800 for the card in comparison to others, depends on if you want to wait on the inflation of card prices to drop whenever that would be.

The 6700XT is priced crazy high but for 5700XT owners it could be a cheap upgrade as the 5700XT sells for silly money (£600+). It could be a < £150 upgrade. I still would not do it but if I got £600 for my 5700 after fees then it would be ~£100-150 to upgrade and get a new card with 2 years warranty. Unfortunately i just don't want a 6700, I would like 6800XT but they are never in stock.

The 6700XT is a pretty decent card, especially the Sapphires. Yes, the price is high in the current situation, but what isn’t. It’s all relative.

I have a Sapphire 6700XT Nitro+ OC in my wife’s gaming rig, which is in a very compact install (Streacom DA2 SFF), and with the GPU under-volted, it runs silent and cool and performs well at 1440 ultra widescreen.

You wouldnt have an idea if the card is decent at running 1440 144hz, cause at the moment my ideal cards is stuff that would allow me to fully utilize my monitor.

Yes, and that applies to every GPU available right now. As I said, it’s all relative - when you can sell an hd4870 and hd6850 and make £150, the only conclusion is that the baseline has moved well north. A year ago you’d have made a small number of tens of pounds for these.

If you really want a new card right now and can afford it, then buy the 6700XT.

Buying a 3000 series these days is all down to luck.

HAHAHAHA!

I would rather pay £1600 for a top end 6900XT and then £150 for a new PSU to power it than pay £700+ for a low end card. The 6700xt should be £300-350 max or £400-500 in crazy times. Its starting to look like consoles are the only way to go:-(

I would agree as the mid end is highly inflated atm, I'd rather pay an extra 300 - 400 on a top end card
