Prime Day purchases, but not from Amazon.

With the Samsung cash back offer currently running, the watch and the charger (which was free with the watch anyway) work out free.

Are those tablets any good? Thinking of a tablet for the evening just chilling and surfing the interwebs etc..

I've been using it for 30 minutes and so far I am very impressed. Last time I had a tablet was the ipad mini about 6 years ago.

It's very zippy for browsing and basic apps.

I will say this though, the largest bundled silicone tips I can wedge in and as long as I don't move my head too much then they do fit in just not have a perfect seal, even still the sound quality is very impressive after enabling ambient sound mode and setting to Dynamic in the app. The dual drivers are superior to the Melomania 1+, there's no harshness in "S"s on vocals This is the soundstage I've been looking for. Now if these aftermarket tips create a good seal then I am in business. With this in mind I am happy to wait for Comply's pro foam tips to be released for these :cool:

Incredible musical clarity that I wasn't expecting!

The other good thing is that when connected to my PC (Asus Bluetooth 5 dongle) the touch controls on the buds control Spotify or whatever is playing! Also ambient sound mode etc is retained.

Well I'm glad my ears seem to be working properly and that I'm not the only one who likes them then! Would you agree they make a fantastic alternative to the IE80? Even if it was awhile ago since you had them. Just without a cable :P.

How are you wearing the buds by the way? I know this is a stupid thing to suggest but... https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-properly-use-the-galaxy-buds-pro/

Some people do put them in the wrong way and make getting a seal harder for themselves.
 
Oh they're in the right way, the tips are just not wide enough to create the seal which hopefully those foam ones coming tomorrow will be but they aren't oval at the stem so be interesting to see how secure they are else I'll have to chalk up some greens for the diofit premium ones which are designed for the buds pro specifically!

And yeah I'd say they are as good as the IE80 with the addition of having all the extra features. I can't comment properly yet as the seal isn't great of course so I expect the bass and stuff to be much tighter once the new tips are in.

Do report back on the diofit, I want to try an XL set as although the large tips fit for me, they could be a little more secure when I'm in the gym (I have to reseat them a little more often than I'd like).

Bass is improved when you get a seal and turn the noise cancelling on as well.

You mean L size not XL! XL only comes in silicone whereas L is memory foam. The dimensions of foam L and silicone XL are similar though.
 
I mean the silicone! If you're getting foams you can't really report on the silicone ones though. I should probably just order some myself.
 
Yeah I'm really only interested in the foam ones as the comfort is better than silicone and isolation but as I'm using the ambient noise features it's less of an issue I guess. Something to think about if I do need to get those.
