AM4 bracket - thumbscrews to finger tight ok?

Just a thought, is turning the thumbscrews to finger tight without using a screwdriver sufficient?

The brackets can take quite a bit of weight and force, so I'd be a bit concerned, but most people are going to remove them anyway, so overtightening doesn't seem wise either.

Yes.

Depends if you have put on enough paste tbh and how viscous it is.

I always torque them up. Difficult to overtighten without applying significant force.

I had a cooler that loosen considerably over time, without the screwdriver just giving it a wee bit more traction as apposed to just thumbs..

To be fair I thought it was a terrible cooler even though people seemed to think it was good value.

Pushpins shouldn't be tightened though. They click into place. You only use a screwdriver/fingers to remove.
