Not really much of a surprise given that one of their councillors previously said that 'white girls need to shut up for the the sake of diversity'.

The article touches on 'Modern slavery', while arranged and first cousin marriages are still the norm in South Asian communities throughout the UK, as well as keeping the women at home to do all the housework and beating them if they don't.

The fact that they have continually played it down by calling it grooming and exploitation shows how serious they are about stopping it, it's rape, children can't consent even if you take them on dates and buy them drugs you've addicted them to. The law is called the age of consent it's pretty clear and it's not like BLM and other left wing groups where the name has no correlation to what it's actually about.

I see paragraph 3 contains that old chestnut: "lessons need to be learned". Standard response for every failure by authorities for years. :/

Sadly, and on this topic, its interesting that the Lambeth council stuff coming out isn't getting picked up as much by people.

It includes some pretty damning statements as well

The report partly blames the Labour council's battle against the Conservative government in the 1980s, saying it sought to "take on the government" to the detriment of local services.

"During that time, children in care became pawns in a toxic power game within Lambeth Council and between the council and central government," the report added.

Seems the boomers in charge have been pioneering cancel culture decades before it entered popular culture. Disappointing.

This has always annoyed me. It plays down the seriousness to call it simply "grooming". They are rape gangs. It also needs to be called out in the media that it is blatently one demographic preying on vulnerable young white girls. Pretending the demographic is not relevant, for the sake of diversity, is simply brushing it under the carpet and hoping it will go away. The root cause has got to be discussed and tackled.

The police have history protecting groomers/molesters don’t they? I guess the GD regulars accept that because it’s not a Muslim institution.

The root cause is the same as it always is. The book that tells you how to live your life 1700 years ago.

have had to google 'boomer' as i see it posted a lot. seems i'm just outside that and fall into the much cooler named Generation X. i like that name. think i'll try and refer to myself as that more often.

nothing to add to the thread by the way. just rambling on about boomers and Generation X (still sounds cool)

No that's just Labour being historically useless. Every single authority with these problems has been run by Labour apologists, children in care, education and policing (before PCC's).

That's not strictly true. Naz Shah, a Labour MP liked a Tweet that said Rotherham sex abuse victims should "shut up for sake of diversity" which later turned out to be a parody account of Owen Jones. Still a glimse into her mindset but worth pointing out that it wasn't something she "said".

Agreed!!! Funny, I said the exact same thing on this very forum years, and years ago. Whenever you here the line "lessons need to be learned" you know damn well they ain't doing a damn thing.

Jeez, I think I've said it at least once a year since I've been a member lol
