Why do all mice on the market suck right now?

So razer lancehead tournament edition turned up today.

Almost perfect, great feel, great weight, the clicks are good. However for some reason around the edges theyve put some non-permeable plastic on the sides, and it just becomes slippery after a few minutes of use.

Like the rest of the mouse in in a lovely plastic and doesnt have this issue, but razer have just gone and screwed up an otherwise perfect mouse with this weird plastic.

WTF.

I'm curious, where did you manage to find a Lancehead TE after all these years? I loved the performance of that mouse but the shape gave me a bit of cramp. Or maybe it was the weight distribution.

Where the Viper doesn't give me issues on my wrist. My wrist seems to be more relaxed with the Viper. I seem to like mice with very little humps and only in the middle. I seem to despise humps at the back and with them quite steep.

So decided to silence the sensei ten.

Deconstruction and removal of the old switches easy enough.

Got some silent switches off a donor mouse, the ETA for the new switches was over a month from china. Anyway the legs on the switches were a perfect fit even if the 3rd one on the stock ones was redundant.

Re-assembly, it seems the annoying noise on the mousewheel was that mini RGB board. Nevermind just tuck it out the way.

Final result:

The switches have a near silent click but you get a tad of feedback still.

Just waiting on some new glides and all sorted!!

As someone has mentioned the logitech mouses (higher end ones at least) have on board memory. I always run it from onboard rather than software so it works as soon as you wake up the mouse.

Can relate with you on number 6, i have small hands so its awkward to reach lol.

Everything else i have either gotten use to or just not that sensitive to it.

Just ordered a Razer Basilisk Ultimate with the charging dock as it reminds me a bit of my old MX1000.

The thing better last 10 years going by the price of it.

Was going to say, if my mx518 ever breaks I'll probably just buy the revamped mx518 legendary edition.

Looking at gaming mice just gives me a headache, I just want something that works well.

Damn, it sure is pricey. I don't know why but I've always loved the feel of Razer mice.

Well the Basilisk Ultimate turned up earlier and I think we're going to become good friends.

Quite the step up from my Logitech M185.
