RX 6600XT 1080p gaming for $379 on Aug 11

Wow Sapphire must have sent you a whole load of cards, I thought it was odd that you still had brand new cards at around MRSP more then 24 hours after launch.

Yes we got the lions share of the stock for Northern Europe, helps been their no.1 customer in Europe pretty much. :)

Coil whine seems to have become more of a thing since the clockspeeds reached high frequencies. The other correlation is people are using high frequency displays which require higher fps.

Most issues seem to happen if your in a game menu for example and the fps shoots to 200+fps.

Some rectify the issue by locking the fps to within monitor range like between 45-60fps.

The biggest problem for coil whining become more of an issue now is modern case design

everyone wants an airflow focused glass panel case - these are noisy cases and now coil whine is more of an issue

If we went back to having sealed quiet and insulated cases it would be almost a non issue

Hi,
I would just like to ask if anybody has any idea if stocks will last and the price for the 6600 xt cards will remain somewhat low or if it will be unlikely to find 6600 xts in stock in a couple months time?

If you want a card for 1080p then you may as well grab one now and enjoy playing on it with the view that you would have paid roughly the same price for a 5700xt. If you want better ray tracing and performance at higher cost wait for a deal on the 3060ti. If you want to wait for the 3060 to come down in price there is supposed to be more stock coming and OcuK might get more at below £400. TBH with the poor ray tracing on the 6600xt I would wait out for a 3060ti or 3060 but who really knows how many of them are going to hit below £400 and when

ASMB is spot on with his comments. I happy with AMD or Nvidia cards it is what they can achieve for the money and being able to pick up a RTX 3060 Ti for around the £400 mark is the best all round option at this point in time. I say at this point in time because things move fast in the Graphic card market.

I do love the principle of DLSS but the support list mainly reads like a who’s who of AAA crap, loot boxes and pay to win mechanics abound!

Looking at my Steam list i’d not really benefit from it sadly. If only the tensor cores could do something useful that worked in every game.
