It's basically what the 5700XT should've been had they not been behind on DX12U features implementation. I'm very curious to see CU & mem bw scaling once the reviewers get their hands on it.

Looks like another very disappointing release.
2 years after the 5700 XT launched at $399, we get the 6600 XT launching with at most the performance at almost the same price?

The only thing which has advanced is the TDP but even that is disappointing. If they've now revised the W6600 specs to be 130W then everything must be clocked past the clock/watts sweet point.

So much for them later releasing a Navi23 based 6500 XT with only PCIe power.

Architecturally wise, Navi 23 is interesting compared to Navi 10 mostly because the die is slightly smaller and the board should be a lot simpler. Pity none of that is reflected in the price.

If, in almost customary AMD fashion, sales are poorer than the could be then towards the end of its live it might be good thing to pick up in the form of 120W 6600 non XT. Although AMD don't seem to care about the fixed costs of designing and masks etc., So probably won't even produce these in quantity anyhow.

Amazing that they've managed to create a card that's even worse value for money than the 3060. It's essentially priced against the 3060 Ti FE and loses to the regular 3060 in some games even in AMD's own benchmarks. Just another cash-grab.

Go out right now and buy an available 3060 Ti or even just a 3060 what does it cost.

So,at least £325?? Since AMD does not ship reference models to the UK,it means the streetprice is probably going to be higher.

15% better performance would put the RX6600XT around 85% in that chart,or slightly better than an RX5700XT. If Nvidia can get some RTX3060 models to around £300(RRP is £290 IIRC),then even if it is a bit slower,it will have more VRAM too.

I really hope the RX6600 isn't $330!

Its probably what I might do for my Linux rig,but I am uncertain whether AMD will be even better value than Nvidia or Intel by then.

The 3060 Ti FE was freely available for over half an hour after the last drop. Your non-argument is irrelevant. Meanwhile, AMD don't even sell their reference cards directly in the UK, forcing the payment of scalper prices.

Fascinating that you think it's a non argument to highlight that you are specifying the extremely limited Nvidia sponsored card drops and not the cards available from normal retailers as the correct price to judge anything else by.

A minute ago OCUK did a deal on low hash rate 3060 and 3060 Ti at over "MSRP": https://www.overclockers.co.uk/foru...as-been-too-long-nvidia-3060-3060ti.18934108/

4h later 500+ are sold and 6h later the deal is ended to prevent overselling.

Atrocious value for money and more disingenuous benchmarks from AMD comparing it to RTX 3060 at max settings - only in the games that have it ray tracing wasn't enabled! The GPU 'scalpocalipse' continues on :D

so this is basically a renamed 5700xt with less shader cores, and only 128bit bus LOL. with the only slight increase on the boost clock of 500mhz (2500)

what's that about 2% increase on performance if you own a 5700xt. pfft looks like at the time 5700xt was the best bang for buck

Shame
AMD is disappointing on this generation, the lower and mid range cards are awfully short on memory!

Not sure if serious, 6600xt 8gb, 6700 xt 12gb, on the nvidia side 3060 12gb(doesnt need it probably was going to be a 6gb then changed at the last minute) 3060ti 8gb, 3070 8gb (this one could use more).
