Post Your Daily Encounter Pics Here

Annoyingly MOT testers just enter whatever is on the dash, even if you give them the true miliage :/

Those gosh darned pesky MOT testers doing their job to maintain a car's mileage records, what on earth are they doing?!?!
Odometer probably doesn't work properly.

Given the low mileage on the MOT records it's very possibly been round the clock too.

They are suprisingly cheap as well. I suppose people don't want the high running costs when it's attached to a normal car anymore.

You could make a proper sleeper out of it though. Just ditch the quad exhaust and badges and it looks like a standard one.

They aren't cheap cheap anymore, but still not terrible considering the rarity.

Trick is finding a manual though.

Quite weak for a V8 though in stock form, even for that era. It needs quite a bit of tuning. V8 but it's like like 80s yank tank performance.
It isn't a V8; it is a W8. I imagine it feels like nothing else, especially for similar money.

How do you know it’s a W8 though!?!?

It says so on the back.

I test drove one of these when they were new. At the time I was looking to replace my E39 540i and I was totally underwhelmed with it. At the time it was a very, very expensive Passat. That would be forgiven if the performance and handling were up to snuff but they weren't. It wasn't that fast and was very understeery and dull to place on the road.
Interesting curio these days though.

Not sure I see the point there unless you love it particularly. The Corrado I can understand, its not going to be repeated and apparently drives well too. Delta awesome, unique and lucky to own one. The passat I miss why its worth that much especially (or would go up from here on), get an old Honda or Lexus for instead for that money if possible

They're prone to significant problems and very expensive to keep running properly, too. As you say, one to buy only if you have some curious fascination with it. Otherwise, avoid at all costs.

Hows this? Haven't seen one of these since I was I was little & back then Renaults had numbers for their cars & not names.
