Upgrade from GTX1060 6gb for 1080P?

Now that prices eventually appear to be dropping, I'm looking to upgrade the old 1060 in my son's PC.

It'll be paired with a Ryzen 5 3600, 16gb DDR4 3600mhz, and driving a 43" 4k 60hz Hisense TV running 1080P in most games.

I was thinking 1080, 2070, or 3060, obviously all price dependant, any opinions or other options please?

Depends very much on the budget, but a 6600XT is a solid card at 1080p.

Any of the cards you’ve mentioned would be a decent upgrade. RX580 also is decent.

Looking at up to around £300, not including selling the 1060 on, hadn't thought of the 6600, and I'll have a look at the 580 too, thanks.

Prices are going up here anyway especially with the already overpriced 6600XT. You have a 4K TV, depending on games you play, why not consider a PS5 or Xbox X / S?

I've got a PS4 Pro and a Series X, he's got a PS4 Pro and a gaming PC, so just looking to refresh his PC for now, will probably get a PS5 somewhere down the line too though.
