Question: Will most if not all ps4 games eventually run at 60fps on ps5?

I finally have a ps5 and it’s so difficult going from a smooth 60 to a game locked at 30.

The answer is very few. There is no way to fool PS4 games, so they need developer patches. There are some 60fps PS4 games of course, which will run fine. There’s probably more 60fps games than I’m expecting there to be thinking about it.

Shame they can't just have it enabled with a pro patch:p.

PS5 looks good. I have mine on the bottom shelf of my desk (open area).

Fans are really quiet. So far I've not heard them kick in. The SSD makes a noticable speed difference.

Now we just need some decent true PS5 games.

It's been a terrible launch I can't remember it ever being as bad as this for games. It's not as if it should be difficult either now as they have been using pc Architecture for 6+ years now. And pc developers have been using it for decades.

I've always owned both sides and this time I don't own either and I'm leaning more towards MS because of their Ultimate game pass system. Especially since I'm more on the pc side of things these days. It makes much more sense. Then if I want a casual blast downstairs I can grab a controller on the console.

Sony need to up their game this may be the first console of theirs I've never owned. I've even owned both PSP and vita. Still got a vita I need to mod now as that's all it is good for these days.

I hear you on this. My cousin got a PS5 nearly as soon as they become available. Then months after he was posting "I wish I hadn't rushed out and got it".

I think this is the first time there hasn't been a game selling a Playstation. Usually its GTA or one of the other exclusives. But so far there is no PS5 AAA rated game.

It's kinda disappointing so far. I'm hoping they will build on it in the future.

I agree about the PSP and Vita. I think the older consoles will be the last 'retro' machines. I still think a lot of the older machines and games have a lot more gameplay on average than modern games. If we remove all the flashy graphics there hasn't been many original ideas for years.

Haven’t seen stock online for ages and when it does come in the bots snap them up.

I went into a well known high street retailer today to check out the new apple laptops. It’s the biggest store of its type that i know of.

They had PS5s in stock and i picked one up. drive version with wireless headset bundle.

Is it possible to use my phone to type into boxes on the PS5?
I have PS Remote Play and the PS App installed but no luck.

I was lucky with my PS5, I have my web browser immediately load with 6 different shops on the main PS5 pages and on August 10th ARGOS had a delivery.

I'm enjoying my ps5 but only had it a month.. also got lg c1 2021 oled and picture and graphics are pretty incredible.. only using it for ps exclusives and just finished Spiderman and got GoT and demon souls to play thru next.. not touched my pc since I've had my ps5.

It's been a terrible launch

Im sure Sony are thinking the opposite given that they have sold 50% more consoles than their competitor (who was slightly earlier to market from what I remember), and seemingly utilising the hardware a lot better to boot (pre-launch everyone was saying Xbox is much better hardware wise, and MS invested billions in new studios - admittedly maybe too late for launch but even so

The controller on the PS5 is another level entirely - this level of sensitivity and sensation has not been on the PC - EVER - let alone for 6+ years , so it will take time for developers to utilise it.

Are you really saying that the controller is more sensitive than a 10000 dpi mouse or a hybrid mechanical optical keyboard?

Or are you saying it's better than pc controllers? Because it should be tbh as pc users tend to use console controllers as they are better than pc only variants.

Just because they sold more than MS doesn't mean much tbh. Historically that has always been the case. Look at PS4 sales they are more than double the Xbox one. So if they have sold 50% more that's a loss in my book should be 100% more at minimum.

Xbox has always been dominant in USA other regions it's never done as well.

My main gripe is no killer games. It's a handful of games and it shouldn't be the case with them using pc Architecture.

not like the PC has had force feedback wheels and sticks for donkeys

Imagine telling the company outselling the competition and with more exclusive titles available to "up their game".
Why not? What's left to look forward to this year?

I hope there is still demand on the run up the Xmas as at the moment mine is just sat in the corner with a microfibre cloth draped over it and has been that way for months so will probably sell it.

Deathloop is the one major exclusive that springs to mind, I imagine there's others. Aside from a few delays the 2021 line-up was a fairly known quantity even at launch so I'm not sure what surprise exclusive releases anyone was expecting.

Personally I think the ps5 exclusives so far really justify buying the ps5. I loved astro bot, spiderman and demon's souls, and we have recently been getting into returnal and ratchet.

It might not seem like tons of games but realistically, how much time do we have to play games (on top of gaming on pc etc)?

Yeah which is why the ultimate game pass is appealing to me more. I can also use it on PC where I'll get more use out of it.

I've always owned both consoles. A PlayStation at launch and usually waited for a killer game then got the xbox later on it's lifecycle. However the last xbox I played maybe 3 games on it used it a handful of times and sold it in pretty much brand new condition. I'm going to give it until christmas - 4 months then I'll make a decision on which side I'll go for but it's looking more like the xbox which is something I thought I would never say as I've had every sony console at launch including the ps5 which I sold for a handsome profit as I didn't want it as there was nothing to play.

Deathloop is released on Steam at the same time
