Hi all, I’ve been looking at Rolex recently and noticed tonight compared to a few days ago that their retail prices have all dropped by approx 12.5%, anyone know why?

Everything I'm seeing about rolex at the mo is that the prices are going up again, even the brand new models with the (42mm) explorer 2 being incredibly popular and pretty hard to get....not that I'm likely to worry over it due to no interest in buying a rolex.

Without providing actual examples and details this is a a bit of a throwaway question.

Indeed. Regardless though, it's not going to happen to RRPs - they'll only ever stay the same, or be adjusted upwards, depending on currency fluctuations. Lowering RRPs would be against everything they do!

Specifics? I’ve looked at 6 or so and they’re all 12.5% less now RRP than when I looked a week ago.
Datejust 36 steel/rose, rosé diamond set Roman numerals was £11,100 now £9,700
Datejust 41 steel/rose, chocolate was £10,350 now £9,050.
GMT Master II steel/rose was £11,850 now £10,350.
GMT Pepsi white gold was £32k now £28k.
GMT Pepsi Steel was £7,550 now £6,600.
Same for the other GMTs and Daytonas.

For a moment I thought his the website showing me the without VAT prices but then that’s 20% not 12.5%.

Got a link to the site?

The daft thing about them even having prices on there, is that people can't buy them if they try anyway! Such is the Rolex game.

Near as I can make out the RRPs of the five watches you've quoted are still the "was" prices.

Lol that’d be a pretty dull dream! Maybe it’s picking up my location (Jersey, but I was in UK last week) and the price it’s showing me is the non-UK price, weird though as that’s also not what the price would be with VAT removed and GST added

How can we see the previous and new prices is there a tracker? Can you show these differences somehow?

It's wasn't obvious which website you were referring to, so better not to be a smart ass when you are the one providing opaque information.

Quite!

Also, prices are as RRP as expected. No surprises there.

Should've just bought them all at that low price @MoRT489, bargaintastic. Oh wait..!
Rolex are so crazily in demand and undersupplied that it is highly unlikely that they would lower the rrp by 12.5%. I bet he was on a different international site or had tax deducted or something similar that applied to all prices he checked.

HI,

About to buy my 3rd watch and now looking for a watch stand to store them when not being worn.

Ideally looking for something to hold 3 watches, but one is an Apple Watch so need one charging section for that, and 2 for my Automatic watches. Is there anything out there that will meet these specs? finding it hard to find something that will work with an Apple watch AND mechanical at the same time.
