It was in the area where the contact happened, it would’ve been a bad penalty to concede as Kane was running away from goal but it was in the area and Kane was caught

The refs are at the root of all the issues in the PL. They were the issue before VAR and they are still the issue with VAR. No consistency and can't seem to find the right middle ground. Last season everything was a penalty. This season they don't even bother looking half the time. They have been told to allow more robust challenges this season so they punish a soft foul one minute and then ignore it 30s later when an identical foul is committed.
 
Surely that should be brought back, I know Lucas was fouled but he completely took on Xhaka who could’ve been argued been picking up Son.

With regards to the penalty it wouldn’t take 5 seconds to use the lines like for offside and then as soon as it’s ruled it’\s in the box then they can make a decision, as mentioned it’s the way we apply VAR not VAR itself that’s the issue

I can't tell if you are kidding here. An Arsenal player effectively took out his team mate and you want a goal disallowed because it left them potentially short in defence.
 
Yep as it was a foul on Xhaka by the falling player or are we suggesting he didn’t catch him, if that’s the case why not when you get tripped not just flick yourself in the air and take someone out, after all once you’re fouled it’s all fair eh?

Nah you have to be having us on here. Youre saying that because he was fouled and as a direct consequence he fell into Xhaka its a foul to Arsenal?!?

What would have happened if Xhaka would have then fallen into another player :p

I assume it would then have been an Arsenal or Tottenham foul depending on who he fell into.

I think your right, hes pulling our leg.
