hi

im trying to buy the 6600XT which i thought would be a bit cheaper but i keep hearing people saying wait for when 3060 is back in stock in places! now im not sure if thats just cos they cant find stock or....

In that price bracket you can either sit on telegraph / discord for an msrp card - or get a 3060Ti (its the best of the sub £700 cards - unless you can find a 3080 at msrp , yeah dragons can be found just as easily)

If you want RT there's no contest, otherwise I'd just go with whatever you can get at a good deal (good luck with that).

To buy the 3060 it would need to be much cheaper than the 6600 XT.

One thing, the 6600XT uses less power than the 3060 I believe. I only have a 500W PSU (specialized ITX case), so need to consider this myself.

I would go 3060 if you can get it for less then £400 or better still £350 there is not much in it some games are a bit slower others faster, RT is what makes the 3060 the winner.

DLSS @ 1080p works, is becoming widely implemented and will serve you well in the future. 3060 will also give you acceptable RT where the 6600XT can manage shadows and reflections only before transforming into a 2060.

If you're looking to upgrade again next gen then just get whatever you can.

I think thats the only option for now just grab something at that performance level what ever it is.

£650 for one....
You can get a 6700 XT for around that price which is faster than the 3060 TI and is within a ball hair of a 3700.

Not saying either represents good value though, but god damn don't get a slower GPU for that money.
