Metroidvania recommendations.

Can anyone recommend some titles to play on either xbox or pc. Mainly the 2d side scrolling types, I have done Dark Souls etc.

Recently played these and absolutely loved them.

Hollow Knight
Ori 1 plus 2
Deaths Door
Salt and Sanctuary
Blasphemous

Forgive me if any of the above is not classed as metroidvania but I think they are.

Currently going through bloodstained. I have seen Ender Lilies on the store and this looks really good.

I don't mind really hard games, I tend to try over and over until I beat something.

@Witcher1980 Should definitely check Dead Cells out though for the 2D side scrolling and high difficulty (for me anyway). It's a fantastic game. Roguelite rather than Metroidvania but still great.

I have vague memories of enjoying them in that order. I think Shadow complex was upgraded for re release a year or two back

I will add these to the original post. Bloodstained is also good, enjoying it so far. I got it on sale yesterday on the xbox store it is currently £13.99, I do not think it is worth £34.99 tbh

Ender Lillies does look really good.

There's a game on Game Pass called Flynn: Son of Crimson that's a metroidvania lite game and it's pretty decent.
