If it was just a car company I would be very worried about the valuation. However it's an AI, Robotics, Robo Taxi, Car Insurance, plus it has the technology to solve global warming.

I don't think anyone is disputing that Tesla will be a profitable company.

All this talk of right now being a replay of Apple vs Nokia in the mobile space, is ignoring the fact that Tesla is already a trillion dollar valued company, and it's only just teasing out a profit.

It 100% certainly will go higher in future, the same as everything else as inflation goes for a ride. The massive growth days are over though, if you want big gains, there are better places imo.

It's had massive growth over the last 2 weeks.
 
Thungela is still good a chuckle over my morning coffee checking my watchlist :)

Mostly cash atm, waiting to see if this COP26 comes up with any serious concrete agreements, could create a buying opportunity.

I don't really go for moon shots.....but on that theme, I'd be looking at space for big gains. I'm happy with SMT as exposure to SpaceX on that front.

People get very defensive about Tesla....I'm not critical of the company at all, I think it'll do well...I just think it has a decade of growth already priced in with it's current valuation.
 
Elon tweeted last night about the Tesla share price....

Also they have started a test phase of opening up the Supercharging network to other cars in Europe as some sites....Another revenue stream potentially from other manufacturers.
 
What was the basis for Avis? From what I saw it only beat earnings by 7%.

The tech companies regularly smash them 25-40%

Of course earnings don't mean anything. It's just a bunch of analysts guessing at outcomes and thinking it has some relevance to what is going to happen in the future with the company.
