A lot of things recently. Had to help family out, dogs vet bills, needing to replace things in the house as well as just living day to day. Some people are put in the position where they genuinely don't have much of a choice but to turn to credit and that's been us these past 2 years. Hopefully things should be a little better this time next year but who knows.

True.

You didn't have insurance for the dog though? It always baffles me when people don't.

He's a rescue greyhound who'd had a very sketchy racing career. We'd only had him 3 months and only around a month after I'd set up insurance, he started limping quite heavily and medication wasn't helping. Turns out he'd had an untreated fracture that had partially healed and been unnoticed by whoever vetted him at the center and had resurfaced due to the walks we where doing. As it was within the first 40 days of the insurance they wouldn't pay a penny. Xrays, surgery, post op medication... Poor bugger. The center where trying to trace the original owner for background as much as anything else but couldn't get hold of them... Quite common apparently. They get them registered and tattooed then race them semi illegally so any injuries and the like go unreported. Ridiculous, poor little sod.
