Should I get one of these?

What I could do is Polar Blast it with the hydroshot, then immediately after wash it with AutoGlym Body Shampoo then rinse with water from the hydroshot and dry.

Charge the battery and then wet the car down again using a bucket of water and a wash mitt, then apply Polar Seal with the hydroshot and rinse then dry.

Definitely looking like getting the Polar Seal as it comes in a 1 liter bottle and looks the easiest to apply vs the Autobrite and Megs.

Only thing is I’ve got to make sure I don’t get any on the windscreen or soft top.

Found this post on another forum from AutoGlym themselves...

“As others have said we do not recommend the use of any of the Polar series on a soft top. It is not the end of the world if they get on there, nothing bad will happen”

I didn’t realize this when I applied Polar Blast to my car last time and nothing bad has happened.

Thanks, I’ve ordered another battery on eBay and arranged for it to be delivered by ship2me. Came to £ 37.94 all in. First time I’ve used ship2me and am very impressed.

Delivery was £ 9.99 for a small box with max Dimensions 45cm x 30cm x 30cm.

With a second battery I can Polar Blast it with the hydroshot, then immediately after wash it with AutoGlym Body Shampoo then rinse with water from the hydroshot.

Change the battery and apply Polar Seal whilst car is still wet then rinse and dry. Only have to dry once and it should be easier to dry after Polar Seal.

Yeah its not super cheap but when you want something shipped that cant come via air or retailer wont send to Islands it's really useful.

Yeah it’s a great way to get hold of things you otherwise wouldn’t be able to. Only thing is that I might be liable for a dangerous goods notice (DGN) being it’s a battery. That costs £ 25.

However according to their FAQ located here https://www.ship2me.co.uk/faqs DGN is not required for the lithium-ion battery as long as the watt-hour rating is not more than 100Wh.

Looking at the battery I already have which is exactly the same as the new one I’ve ordered the watt-hour rating is 36Wh. So I shouldn’t in theory be liable for the DGN and the £ 25 charge that goes with it.

I ordered a new one on eBay as it was cheaper than Amazon which makes up for the £ 9.99 delivery charge from ship2me somewhat.

Received an email today, my parcel has arrived at ship2me and has been despatched from their depot in Portsmouth without needing a DGN. It will arrive on the overnight ferry to Jersey.

Should have it three days. Excellent service look forward to using them again. It’s kind of nice having a mainland address I can have things sent to.

Received my battery today from the ship2me service, here are my two batteries. Top one is my original with a serial number beginning 2019 and below is my new one revision WA3551.1 with a serial number beginning 2021.

I got the original with my Hydroshot back in 2019 hence the serial number. Only difference between them is the revision WA3551.1 doesn't have a charge indicator on it.

I actually paid £ 1 extra for a WA3551 revision on eBay but received the WA3551.1 instead. I'm not going to make an issue of it for the sake of £ 1 and at least it charged up properly.

I was worried as it took about 3 hours to fully charge, when the green light stop flashing and went solid.
