So I am moving soon and unfortunately Virgin aren't available in my new property (I've just had to pay a £160 cancellation fee!).
I've been with them for a number of years now so not sure who else out there comes highly recommended. I am currently on their M350 package.

Who out there compares to this and offers a good service/price.
I do some online gaming and stream a lot of 4k Netflix, we also have multiple devices accessing the network at once and have two people working from home at the same time.

Thanks for any help.

What options and connections will have a major influence on your choice. ADSL? FTTC? Openreach FTTP? Alt net FTTP? You need to check what’s available. Broadband choices might be a good place to start.

Looks like it's just FTTC unfortunately, the Ofcom checker is saying fastest speed 74Mbps, OpenReach is saying speeds up to 80Mbps and the BT site is only showing me two packages with the fastest being 44Mb - 50Mb.

While I'm currently with BT due to them being my only FTTP option on a new build, I've always been a fan of Plusnet!

On a side note surely you've not had to pay a cancellation fee if Virgin can't provide a service at your new address??

I'd probably go with Vodafone, very reasonably priced & have a good infrastructure. Their support over the phone is good, just anything over live chat is very time consuming like most.
If money isn't a consideration for you, then you can't go wrong with BT.

Zen are brilliant albeit expensive.

I agree with brilliant, but they're not a lot more than others in cost. And it's worth paying the extra for one of the best customer services out there. They have people there that actually think, not repeat a script.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I’m struggling to see the main benefits of going with Zen for £10 more a month other than the six month shorter contract?

Static IP, UK support which is excellent should you ever need them. Their peering is also excellent.

BT & Vodafone's peering is also excellent, and probably better.
Sorry that's just plain wrong. Vodafone are known to have internal capacity issues, plus BT have had some really odd routing in previous years.

As for a static IP, that's entirely down to why one is needed. I would struggle without one. I just mentioned Zen give it by default.

Plusnet also offers a static IP for a one-off £5 fee, well at least they used to.

If Plusnet ever seriously **** me off, I would look to moving to Zen (because I do need/want a static IP). To date, I've found Plusnet's technical support to be good enough, and have never felt it would be worth paying extra for something better.

Most faults are caused and fixed by Openreach. As long as you can convince the ISP to send Openreach out when required you're covered for most faults.
