This isn't a big issue but I wasn't expecting it.

The humidity in room with the washer dryer goes crazy on a dry cycle.
At the moment the water is captured in a door drum (setting up pipe soon.

But the whole room gets really really damp. Running a cycle now.

Thanks guys.

Just managing expectations. I assumed it was normal but was never quite sure. Glad it's in utility and not a kitchen.

It gets so damp the door is basically wet. It's a small room. Normally I'd have the outside door open to help.

I've noticed our new Heat Pump dryer is much better than the Condenser for humidity. Not sure if it's because of the technology or model.

Condenser models vary wildly and they hide away the performance figures for the efficiency of the condenser I think it was which that found that some of them basically just blow all the wet out and capture hardly anything. Definitely worth digging into the numbers!

Heat pump condenser dryers probably perform better as they work at a lower temperature giving the condenser a better chance.

Defeats the point a bit surely? Why not just dry the clothes with the dehumidifier?

What I used to do on ocassion. Stuck the airer in our spare room with our dehumidifier. Did a grand job, don't know the costs involved though.

Got a consender now and other than the warm air being expelled heating up the kitchen (which isn't a bad thing in winter), no noticable increase in humidity.
