Upgrade from Asus X570-P

If the chipset fan is noisy then see if you can turn it down in bios before considering spending out of a new board.

MSI has the far best X570 chipset cooler designs with big actual heatsinks instead of plastic marketing excrements and fan positioned farther from graphics card.
Though original release bords have mostly garbage for VRM.
X570 Tomahawk fixed VRM and punches far above its price.
If having good case cooling chipset fan would be unlikely to run ever.

In case of not needing Wifi, Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite would be another choise with sensibly designed chipset cooler.

The board was fine actually, the fan was ok even at full speed. The cpu socket got something stuck in it and it crapped itself. Could just buy the same one again but was wondering if anything better was available.
I will check out those two boards, cheers.

The x570s variant of boards have done away with the chipset fan. That said my X570 tomahawk has been great and I've never noticed the fan at all.

Have you tried to fix the socket ? Some video below to show how to open it and maybe clean it out and fix any bent pins. The first video shows how to open the socket up correctly to get to the pins and the top part to clean too.

Yeah I did see that first one, tried it and the thing was flimsy it snapped on half! I have found a new cover on fleabay so will order one.
