Has been a wierd year for me. I usually get 2 or 3 colds a year, mostly coinciding with the kids going back to school and usually one is a bad cough.

this year i caught the rona in jan, was really ill for a week or so and then shortness of breath for another 2 months but haven't been ill since. No colds, not even a sniffle.

the mrs and kids also got the rona but had no symptoms and have all had the usual coughs and colds all year.

Wouldn't say nearly always, but certainly several times over the years, including chicken pox, the flu (proper flu not just a heavy cold) and labrynthitis. All were all horrendous.

Maybe subconsciously plays a part in my dislike of Christmas.

I'm in bed tonight after having a bout of 4 or 5 number 2s. I put it down to overindulgence on the chocs, cheese and everything else. But about 3pm got fever, cold/hot and can't keep anything down now. So in bed, water, watch the footy and sleep it off hopefully.

Same here. About three days later I went to bed with a banging headache and had night sweats and chills. Cough came soon after. Thought it was Covid but have PCR tested and all okay.

Yeah I was exactly the same. Hot and cold sweats and banging headache. PCR test should be here tomorrow, so need to get that done and sent off.

I got the flu or something which started on christmas eve

This morning i phoned to book in for a PCR test but i feel that test is going come out clear

Very often at Christmas.

As a teacher, I wilds say it is extremely common that we get ill on holidays. Something to work working to the bone and then the adrenaline dropping!*

I'm hopefully at the end of what I assume is a severe cold. I slept a whole day in bed yesterday. According to lateral flow it isn't covid.

I do resent teaching up to the 21st just to show the kids films for the last few days and catch diseases!

* I wonder if that is a common them for all of us? You work particularly hard up to the deadline of a holiday, and by the time you relax you are a bit drained and get ill.
