Hi all,

Got the new system today. Issue I have is it wont boot correctly. Spec below.
System boots up, fans on, Ram RGBing away, can sometimes make it into the bios, or just reboots, no display, and will loop like that for 30 seconds, and then reboot and repeat. Checking the BIOS its seeing the RAM and M.2 drive, can sometimes get to installing Windows but get stop errors, then a boot back to either BIOS or the above loop. Have tried resetting bios to defaults, and running the recommended Asus 12 Gen settings, none seem to make any difference.

I'm unsure on the 12v 1 and 12v 2 2\4 Pins on the motherboard, the PSU only has a 4 pin CPU connector, but then the motherboard and CPU wouldn't power up if that was the issue? stumped.

Sorted. Unsure if I've missed it somewhere, but this board, or combo of the above wont seem to install W11 through a clean install, W10 went on fine no issues. I've just never seen a BIOS not boot due to a wonky OS install, usually makes it to BIOS. I'll contact Asus support on the W11 issue, maybe the BIOS needs something on\off prior to the install. Thanks for the assistance :)

I was able to install windows 11 from boot and I have the same board, but I had to flash the bios first as it would not see any of my disks. After the flash it has been perfect.

I spoke too soon. After 2 hours of installing apps, back to BSOD. Totaly random BSOD errors. Definetley unstable. Have played about with the BIOS trying defaults, and optimised, just cannot get it stable. Will strip it down and rebuild from scratch I guess.

Have you checked that the memory you bought is compatible with the board? I bought some memory for mine thinking it will be alright but everytime I turned on XMP it became highly unstable. Looking at the board compatibility list onb the website it turned out my memory was not on the list so I eneded up swapping it out.

What a muppet. Genuinely thought I'd checked it on the Asus site, but it's not on the supported list, doh! Thanks, will swap it for a supported memory. Shame the USB header broke on the board, otherwise would have just swapped the memory, now I need to swap both. Thanks for the direction on the memory :)

99% of memory work on motherboards they don't test every module to put on the compatable list.

HAHA..Well I usually go full OCD on checking stuff but used a well known part picker site, and think I was rushing to get the PC over Christmas. Lesson learned :)
