League of legends can’t play full screen at anything other than native res

Hi all.

I’ve been trying to play LoL on my laptop with 3072x1920 resolution. Even with the cursor size set to 100% it is still to small.

However when I reduce the in-game resolution all that happens is the game window reduces in size snapped to the top left corner of the screen and adds black borders to the right and underneath the game window. The game still has ‘full screen ‘ option selected despite now not being full screen.

Does anyone know how to make lower resolutions fill the screen rather being a smaller scaled down box in the corner?

what happens in borderless mode?

The launcher resolution is fine, it's the in-game resolution that when set lower than native shows as a smaller window instead of full screen.
