Hello!

I am looking for two PCs, one for myself and one for my partner.

For me I am just going to be gaming (Red Dead, Witcher 3, BG3 etc). For my partner she will also be playing similar games but she will also be doing video editing and processing.

The builds do not need Monitor, Mouse or Keyboards but would still need the OS.
I do usually have a preference for Gigabyte Graphics card and Motherboards since had good experience in the past with them but its not a necessity as long as the brand is good.
If possible a motherboard with Wifi would be great.

Another note we usually prefer Intel builds as opposed to AMD.

The budget for each machine is between £2000-2500.

Our current machines are 8 years old each and struggling with some games such as RDR2 so we are hoping to get some new machines that will last us a good number of years like our current machines did.

Thanks for any recommendation and advice.

If you get RTX FE cards you won't need anywhere near that budget for your own system, though you'll be able to afford a FE 3090. Intel 12400 or 12600, B660 or H670 DDR4 motherboard, 32 GB RAM, trimmings. You've just missed the latest drop of FE cards, but there'll be another one in a few weeks. Do note that they limit you to one per household / card, so if you want more than one you'll need both separate cards and separate addresses. You need to be quick - seconds count for cards like the 3060 and 3080, but 3090 cards tend to be available for a little longer. If you cannot wait, look at pre-built systems.

What is the resolution of your monitor?

How serious is your partner about video editing? I.e will they want a Threadripper build?

Sorry if this is a noob question but this is my first time doing this.
Where do I sign up for FE Cards and potentially look for them?
I can use my parents address and a separate card for my wife's card.

The monitors we have currently is 1920x1080.

The video editing is more of a casual hobby she does now and again when recording videos of games we play with friends, so while she will make use of it, we dont need anything too insane, just capability to do it well enough without causing her PC to basically slowdown to a halt or the software crashing.

You need to get Telegram and sign up for FE PartAlert. Make sure you have two accounts already set up with that competitor of OCUK we cannot name. You'll be fine with RTX 3060 GPUs or even RTX 3050s if you don't use ray-tracing. Obviously if you use RT then the 3080 FE is the one to get. That said, Intel's new GPUs are in the offing...

Alright thank you! I will set that up.

That medieval resolution is completely substandard for the budget and uses.
With no vertical space it's masochism even for web surfing.

2560x1440 should be standard level, if we're talking about this price PCs.
And those are basically semi-free compared to current GPU prices with competent 144+Hz models starting from £300 level.
